On 17 June 2021, a large truck marked with the logo of Australian charity organisation OZHarvest slowly drew up to the gates of Sydney Leizang Temple. They had come to collect and transport the donated goods. When they saw the towering stacks of rice bags, the oatmeal and fruit cans they knew so well, they could not help but be astonished and thrilled — a look of deep respect welled up upon their faces.

2021年6月17日，一輛標有澳大利亞慈善機構「OZHarvest」的大貨車緩緩行駛地停在悉尼雷藏寺的大門前，他們是前來接收和運輸捐贈物資的。當他們看到堆積如山的一包包大米，還有他們再熟悉不過的各種麥片、水果罐頭，不禁地為之震驚而興奮！一種充滿敬意的表情油然而生⋯

Yes — those bags of rice, oatmeal, and fruit cans carry within them the compassionate and charitable hearts of True Buddha disciples everywhere.

是的，這些大米、麥片、水果罐頭的捐贈物品蘊藏著真佛弟子們的一片片慈善愛心。

As early as May, the True Buddha School World Huaguang Merit Society launched a "Global Simultaneous White Rice Donation" campaign — a tangible act of charity and compassion to celebrate the 77th birthday of Grand Master, the Holy Venerable Living Buddha Lian-shen. The Sydney Huaguang Merit Society joined immediately, launching the campaign at Sydney Yanshan Leizang Temple. We first sent notices to True Buddha disciples, listing the items needed for donation, and invited fellow practitioners to give according to their hearts. Day by day, the names in the donation relay grew longer — and within that long list shone the warm and enthusiastic spirit of the disciples. At the same time, we found that many kind-hearted people from outside the True Buddha School also joined the donation effort.

早在5月份，由真佛宗世界華光功德會啟動以做慈善、獻愛心「全球同步捐白米」的實際行動，慶賀聖尊法王蓮生活佛77誕辰，澳洲悉尼華光功德會參與並且立即在悉尼嚴山雷藏寺啟動「全球同步捐白米」慈善活動。我們首先是面向真佛弟子發通告，列出捐贈物資的清單，讓同門隨善捐贈。時間一天天過去，捐贈接龍隊伍裡的名字一天天在增加。在這長長的名單裡，透露著弟子們熱心與積極的情懷。同時，我們發現還有不少是宗外的熱心人士也加入捐贈的行列。

OZHarvest is an Australian charity organisation that connects with local charitable groups across the country, channelling donated goods to communities in need. The donation effort by the Sydney Huaguang Merit Society made a strong impression on OZHarvest, who asked us to provide video and photo documentation for their media coverage.

OZHarvest 是澳洲一家慈善機構，它在全澳洲聯繫著不少當地的慈善團體，通過這些團體，將慈善物資傳遞給需要幫助的群體。這次悉尼華光功德會的捐贈舉動，受到了OZHarvest機構的重視，他們要求我們提供捐贈物資的視頻、圖片將作為他們媒體新聞報道。
